A lot of companies are trying to transform their GTM teams. Here’s a useful objective function:

Maximize the percentage of time sales reps spend live with customers (over video or IRL)

First of all, meaningful customer interaction feels like something that will not be replaced by AI anytime soon.
Second, it forces you to automate or delegate things that comes in the way of this. 
And finally, this is not a sales team thing. This forces a discipline across the entire company to improve this.

For eg. let's say this number is 20% today, and you want this number to be 50%. Well, you'll start evaluting the overall customer journey. 

Do we do enough outreach? Do we have enough leads? Do we have the right messaging? Can reps automate their customer research? Can reps do personalized demos? 

I also like this because it's a good leading indicator. Instead of looking at bookings or quota attainment (lagging indicator), you get the company focused on the right inputs today... which drives results in the future.

Yes, some people will try to game this number, but it's easy to look at secondary metrics (% win rate) to make sure folks are pointed at the right thing.

But, the basic idea holds: if you want better GTM outcomes, start by salespeople spending more time with customers.

My daughter and I started a podcast this weekend! We’re calling it Across the Table.

Over the past year, we’ve both gotten into reading print newspapers and magazines (Financial Times, Economist, Explores + a few others) usually over breakfast. Our weekly podcast is a chance for us to talk about some of the stories we both enjoyed reading that week.

We recorded the first episode last night in one take, using Voice Memos on my iPhone. Today, we used Riverside + Spotify to edit and publish it. It’s remarkable how easy all of this has become!

I used to not like Notion... But now I do.

Why? Because I don't need to teach people on the team how to use it. 

Agents maintain everything. All information about the business is viewable by my agents. When something gets done, the agents update the database in notion. 

And I even have agents run every hour to see if everything was updated correctly. It's working flawlessly so far.

Just played around with @colebemis’ work on sidebars and omg, it is SO satisfying.

Cole & team have basically made the sidebar completely malleable. You can add or remove sections, create your own tabs, and customize how everything is organized.

In a couple minutes, I went from one giant tab to separate, focused tabs for docs, meetings, recents, and chats. It feels like rearranging Lego blocks until everything clicks into place. Very fun.

Most model evaluations rely on fixed, curated tasks. They’re useful, but they don’t show how models perform on the messy, varied work people actually give them.

That’s the motivation behind @NotionHQ’s Knowledge Board. It uses a small, random, anonymized sample of live traffic, split evenly across models, to measure whether real world tasks are successfully resolved, as well as the time and cost required.

Rather than offering a typical leaderboard, the project aims to answer a more practical question: Which model offers the right tradeoff for the work you’re trying to do?
